Hey Fashionistas!

As promised, here’s another behind the scenes look at Miami Swim Week. I spent my Saturday night at the chic W Hotel South Beach for the unveiling of the Frankie’s Bikinis swimwear collection. I had the privilege of interviewing the fabulous swimsuit designer, Francesca Aiello.

Aiello is a twenty year old, (yes, you read that correctly) California girl who decided at the age of seventeen, she wanted to design swimsuits that were both suitable for her surfer lifestyle and still allowed her to look fashionable. Fast forward a couple years later, she is now unveiling her swimsuit collection a second time around at Miami Swim Week. Aiello’s story is a testament to others; no matter what age you are, no dream is too big to achieve! Check out the interview below.

TFB: At what age did you start working in the swimwear industry?

FA: Seventeen

TFB: What advice do you have for women, like yourself, attempting to tap into the fashion industry at a young age?

FA: I think social media right now is incredible. We have so much power right at our finger tips. I also think it’s important to never give up. You have to stay strong through all the ups and downs that everyone goes through when starting a company.
